Freshly cataloged, we have for sale a first edition of Noah Webster’s Holy Bible, details as follows:

Webster, Noah.  __The Holy Bible, Containing the Old and New Testaments, in the Common Version, with Amendments of the Language__.  New Haven:  Durrie & Peck.  Sold by Hezekiah Howe & Co., and A.H. Maltby, New Haven; and by N. & J. White, New York.  1833.  v, xvi, 907pp.  First edition.  4to.  Full leather, with raised bands and marbled end-papers.  Spine beautifully re-backed, and worn leather boards treated by professional bookbinder.   Board edges worn, and corners exposed.  Ex-library, with library stamps on title page.  Moderate to heavy foxing, slight stains.  Overall, in quite good condition, with library stamps on title page being the primary flaw. $4,000.00  [ANT053]
